Aloysius Specht died at his home near Piedmont, Okla., July 30th, 1914, at 10:25 a.m. He was born in Marlenheim, France, June 15, 1835. He came to America at the age of 14 and resided in St. Louis, Mo., until 1861, where he volunteered his service for the love and preservation of the Union. He was married to Theresia Eck at Aviston, Ill., Oct. 24th, 1865, to which union was born nine children, all of whom are living and were present at the funeral.
