Maud L (Cathcart) Hetrick, 79, formerly of Distant, died at 9 pm Friday, November 3, 1961 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Silvio Vittore, S. Side, New Bethlehem.

Mrs. Hetrick was born May 2, 1882 in Mahoning Township, Armstrong County, a daughter of Samuel B and Mary (Houser) Cathcart. She was a member of the Oakdale Church of the Brethren.

She married Jesse Pearl Hetrick in January 1900, who died February 14, 1961.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Fred (Bernice) Miller of New Bethlehem, Mrs. Darl (Catherine) Miles of Clarion RD 1, Mrs. Silvio (Isabel) Vittore of New Bethlehem; three sons, Fred A. of New Bethlehem, Lester W. of Ravenna, Ohio, Marion L. of New Bethlehem; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles M Cathcart of Fairmount City RD 1, Lawrence W Cathcart of New Bethlehem RD 3; and two sisters, Mrs. Merle (Laura) Barnett of Baxter RD 1, Mrs. Silas (Annabelle) Yount of Shippenville.

An infant daughater, a sister and two brothers also preceded Mrs. Hetrick in death.

Friends will be received this evening Sunday afaternoon and evening at Reitz funeral home, New Bethlehem, and at the Oakdale Church of the Brethren one hour prior to service time at 2 pm Monday. Rev. Lanta Sholley, church pastor, will officiate.

Interment will take place in Oakland cemetery, Distant.
