Rev. Alfred Weber, who was 26 when he died, graduated from Niagara University and Our Lady of the Angels Seminary, Niagara University and was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Buffalo, New York on June 2, 1950. His initial assignment was to the Buffalo Missionary Apostolate as chaplain at Gowanda State Hospital and the Apostolate's trailer Chapel. His assignment at the time of his death was at St. Benedict in Eggertsville, beginning in June 1951.
He was the son of Frank and Ruth Alf Weber of the Town of Tonawanda, and one of his brothers, Donald, was studying for the priesthood at the time of his death and eventually was ordained to the priesthood as well.
