He is survived by his wife Ruth Schanbacher Batley; daughters Mrs. Steven (Cheryl) Schneider of Elmira and Kathy Batley at home; son Dana Batley at home; brothers William W. Batley of Coopers Plain, George H. Batley of Warminister, PA; sister Mrs. David (Etta) Grimes of Chesire, CT, several aunts, uncles, neices and cousins.
He was a member of the Methodist Church, Freight Superintendent of the Penn Central Railroad. He was a member of Elmira-Corning Traffic Club; a veteran of World War II Army Air Force.
