He was born Sep 18, 1884, in Olney, son of Henry and Elizabeth (Von Almen) Godeke. He married Nellie E. Andrews, who preceded him in death on Jan 16, 1964.
Mr Godeke is survived by a brother, Frank B Godeke, Olney, 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry and 2 sisters, Henrietta Kaley and Mina Gates.
He was the owner and operator of the Carl Godeke Store, one of the first auto parts stores in Richland County, first opened in 1920 and closed in 1939 and a former member of the Congressional Church of Olney.
