He married Winona who lived on Long Hungry with her parents. Charles and Winnie lived there several years, then moved to Snowbird, halfway between Atoah and Snowbird. He worked on logging jobs, etc. He helped cut the flow line for the Santeetlah Lake. He also worked at Fontana when they were building the Fontana Dam. He helped log Twenty Mile and worked on 'Squally Creek' on West Buffalo for years."
