BELTON - Ruth "BOOTS" Strickland Bannister, 92, widow of Louie Calvin Bannister formerly of 757 Anderson St. died Monday, December 28, 2009 at NHC Healthcare of Anderson.
Born in Williamston, she was the daughter of the late Newton and Carrie Robinson Strickland. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Belton. She was the last surviving member of her family.
Surviving are: son, Allan Bannister and wife Bonnie of Belton; daughter, Judith Mancini and husband Lou of Belton; 4 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters.
Service will be conducted 1pm Thursday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Lynch officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service Thursday from 11am until 12:45pm at Cox Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Belton or charity of choice.
The family will be at the home of Judith Mancini, 529 S. Main St. Belton.
