Fatally gored six weeks or more ago by an angry bull on his farm, John Calvin Rickard, an aged and wealthy farmer of this county, died yesterday at his home in Springfield district, four miles north of Stanley, Virginia.
At the time of his encounter with the animal Mr. Rickard was driving his cattle from his field to the barnyard, when the maddened animal turned on its owner, knocking him down and badly injuring him.
