Veronica Schneider- Veronica "Verna" M. Schneider , 83, of Fort Collins died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002 at a local nursing home. A funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. Verna Ortmeier was born Nov. 18, 1918 in West Point, Neb. To Herman and Clara (Maly) Ortmeier. She married Dale Carl Schneider in 1940 in Nebraska. She moved to Fort Collins, CO in 1940 and then moved to La Porte in 1969. She formerly lived in Nebraska. She was a carpenter and pallet maker for Woodward Governor. She enjoyed fishing. Survivors include a son Stanley Schneider of La Porte two sisters; Ida Peatrowsky of Fort Collins and Theresa Huhman of Columbus, Neb; a grandson Dale Schneider and a granddaughter, Deena McBain. Her parents, husband, and a son Ron Schneider, preceded her in death.
