Robert Hinkle, 78, of Near Benton Succumbs
Robert Hinkle, 78 years old, of Lambertville, Scott County, died at 4:30 a.m. today at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital Saturday as a medical patient. The body was taken to the Bisplinghoff Funeral Home at Chaffee.

Robert Hinkle Rites Set for Wednesday

Benton, April 22. — Funeral services for Robert Hinkle, 77 years old, a retired farmer of near Benton, who died Sunday night in a Cape Girardeau hospital, have been set tentatively for 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The rites will be at the Bisplinghoff Funeral Home in Chaffee, with Rev. T.L. Bess of Kewanee in charge. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, near Cape Girardeau. Mr. Hinkle, a member of the Methodist Church, had engaged in farming in the Lambertville community many years.
Born Aug. 10, 1879, at Sikeston, he was married to Miss Mary LeFlure in 1890, just 57 years ago today. She was from Chester, Ill., and they were married at Charleston.
Mr. Hinkle is survived by his wife, a son, Roy Hinkle, of Joplin, and a daughter, Mrs. Louis Santoianni of Fairbanks, Alaska.
In event his daughter can come here the rites will be delayed.
The body is at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are to be Andy Halter, Ben Adams, Charles Punch, Henry Myers, Hess Porter and Ernest Punch.
