Ms. Alma Lawler, 91 of Munfordville passed away at 10:50am Friday, January 29, 2010 at Caverna Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Henry & Mary Sullivan Day. Ms. Lawler taught in a one room school in Hart & Grayson Counties, was co-owner of Lawler's Service Station, was employed at Hester's Super Saver in Cub Run and she retired from the postal service as clerk after 32 years. She was a longtime faithful member of the Cub Run Methodist Church where she served as treasurer for 15 years.
Survivors include:
1 daughter-Mary Rose Taylor & hus. Don of Cub Run
1 granddaughter-Michelle Martin & hus. Billy Joe of Park City
3 great-grandchildren-Lacey Jo & Matthew Martin & Jordan Chapman
Sister-in-law raised as a daughter-Jean Speer of Bedford, IN
2 brothers-Laymon Day & wife Lettie of Munfordville
Paul Day & wife Grace of Lexington
1 brother-in-law-Bill Angel of Munfordville
Also 2 sisters-in-law-Jean Lawler of Indiana
Juanita Day of Cub Run
She was preceded in death by 1 sister-Myrtie Reynolds and by 2 brothers-Raymond & James Day
Funeral services for Alma Lawler will be 1pm Monday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with burial in the Cub Run Cemetery.
