Harland, age 88, died on Wednesday. He was born to Charles & Louise (Pfister) Jabs. Harland worked at Oscar Mayer for more than 30 years. He enjoyed his family, dancing, playing cards and spending the winter in Arizona. He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Thompson and Joy Ziolkowski; grandchildren, Lisa Lampe and Lynn (Nigel) Cook; great-grandchildren, Ranee Thompson, Allan Thompson and Jack Cook; sister, Kathryn Wittwer; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Martha (Schmid) Jabs; his parents; grandson, Jerry Thompson; and brother, Reuben Jabs. Funeral services were held on at Salem United Church of Christ, Verona with the Rev. Dr. Mark Yurs officiating. Joyce-Ryan Funeral Home and Cremation Services Verona Chapel assisted with arrangements.
