Jean Ramsey Comer, 83, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 in Morgantown at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Jean was born in Staunton, VA on February 14, 1934, a daughter of the late Robert and Artie Ramsey.
Jean worked as a bookkeeper for General Glass for many years.
She was also an active member of the Harner Chapel Church. She also enjoyed being a member of the Miracle Music Community Service organ group.
Jean was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Jean is survived by her husband, Charles E. Comer; son, Michael Comer and wife Carla of Fairmont; brother, Robert Ramsey II and wife Helen of Winchester, VA; and grandchildren, Bryen Comer and Braden Comer, nephews Robby and Jeff Ramsey, and their families.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Ramsey.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff at Ruby Memorial Hospital and all Jean's friends who helped take care of her in her time of need.
In honoring Jean's wishes, McCulla Funeral Home has provided cremation services.
A fellowship gathering will be held at Harner Chapel, 100 Lucky Lane, Morgantown, WV on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service.
There will also be a service at Beahm's Chapel Cemetery, 211 Lee Highway Luray, VA 22835 on Saturday, October 21 at 11 a.m. where she will be laid to rest following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Jean's memory to Harner Chapel, 100 Lucky Lane Morgantown, WV 26501.
