A native of Church Point, Louisiana he was born October 6, 1947, to Lillian Fruge and Dorestine Benoit. He was raised in Vidor where he graduated from Vidor High School.
A veteran of the United States Army, he served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969. Ronald was a chemical operator with Texaco Chemical. He was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting and camping. Cooking for his children and listening to French music were a few of his favorite past times.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Benoit; mother, Lillian Benoit; sons, Ronald Dale Benoit, Jr., Joseph E. Benoit, Josh Benoit, Austin Benoit, and Jason Benoit; daughters, Andrea Granger and her husband Matt, Baisa Benoit, Brittany Benoit and Skyla Benoit; four grandchildren; sisters, Patsy Guidry and Priscilla Crain; and numerous other loving family members and close friends.
Burial: Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.
