SOUTH HUTCHINSON- Thelma"Irene"Brawner, 83, died Thursday, May 20, 2021 at her home in South Hutchinson.
Irene was born to Merle and Emerette (Schamp) Yates on February 17, 1938 in Hutchinson, KS.
Irene married Luther "Luke" L. Brawner on April 12, 1957. He died on September 21, 1984.
Irene worked for the Reno County appraiser's office for 27 years. Her grandchildren and great grandson were her pride and joy.
She is survived by her twin sister; Velma"Ilean" (Mike) White, Geneseo, KS, brother Bill Yates, Wichita; daughter Annette Boyer, Hutchinson; grandchildren, Amy (Patrick), Elzea, Lawrence, KS, Benjamin (Cailee) Boyer, Dimmitt, TX; one great grandson; Luther "Luke" Wyatt Boyer; and sister-in-law, Juanita (Jerry) Thommes, Tucson, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Luke and siblings: Fern Marsolf, Bob Yates, Frances Swafford, Mary McFarland, J.M. Yates, Jack Yates, and Etta Marie Miller.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 28, 2021 at Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson. Services will be live streamed on the Inman Funeral Home Facebook page.
