Essie B. Honick Funeral Monday
Newkirk - Funeral services for Mrs. Essie B. Honick, long time resident of Peckham and Newkirk communities, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Stahl Chapel, with the Rev. Carl Packard officiating. Burial will be in the Newkirk cemetery.
Honick died in Ponca City.
Born at Nevada, Mo., July 25, 1890, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Shook, she came to Oklahoma with her parents and settled on a farm near Peckham in 1893. Following her marriage Feb. 2, 1910, to Albert Honick, the couple continued to live in the Peckham community until 1947 when Mr. and Mrs. Honick moved to Newkirk.
In addition to her husband who is employed at the New Era Mill in Arkansas City, survivors include two sons and two daughters.
