Charles Francis Buchanan was born November 24, 1863 at Nebraska City, Nebraska and died November 11, 1929 at the family home in Yuma at the age of 65 years, 11 months and 13 days. He was married at Syracuse, Nebraska in June 1900 to Mary Alma Meade of Franklin, Nebraska. To this union five children were born, three sons and two daughters, all of whom are now living. He leaves his wife and children-George, Frank and Grace of Yuma; Harry of South Dakota and Anna White of Vernon, Colorado. He also leaves six grandchildren, one brother, John W. Buchanan of Unadilla, Nebraska and one sister, Annie Kerns of Kansas.
