2 MOBILE COUNTIANS KILLED IN COLLISION; ANOTHER BADLY HURT
Head-on Crash Between Automobile and Truck in Washington County Causes Fire; One Victim Pinned In Wreckage; Heroic Rescue Efforts

A head-on traffic collision took the lives of two Mobile Countians Tuesday...one of them burning to death after being trapped in the wreckage of his flaming truck. The dead were listed as Frank Radcliff, about 39, of Saraland.
Mrs. Rosalie Vivian Jockisch, 22 of 207 Canal St.
Rescue Team Burned..
Radcliff, still conscious as the flames licked at him, talked with several men who received burns of the hands and faces in unsuccessful efforts to rescue him.
Critically injured in the crash, which occurred shortly before noon just north of the Mobile-Washington Caounty Line on Highway 43, was Horace Joskisch, 29, husband of the fatally injured woman.
Highway Patrolman A. J. Knos, who with Patrolman R. T. Granger and Deputy Sheriff Bob Matthews investigated the crash, said Jockisch's car was moving north when it collided with a lumber truck driven by Radcliff.
In Critical Condition..
Mr. Joskisch was brought to City Hospital by Ambulance Service. His condition was described as critical.
Drivers of other trucks arriving at the scene made vigorous, but unsuccessful efforts to extricate Radcliff from the burning truck, Knox said.
