McAULEY - Mrs. Polly McAuley, relict of the late John McAuley, died in this city Saturday morning, aged 85 years, 3 months and 12 days. She had been afflicted with cancer for sometime. She leaves nine children, all grown and living in different parts of the country. A good mother, an excellent neighbor, an earnest christian in the membership of the Presbyterian church, her memory will be lovingly cherished by the children she has left and the friends who knew her. her funeral took place at the family residence in Carthage, Ill., Dec. 29, her pastor, the Rev. S. H. Hyde D. D., conducted the services.
