Miss Jane Oliver Abbot, the eldest daughter of the late William R. Abbot, died Thursday at the residence of Dr. E. S. Barbarin, 3046 N Street, after a painful illness. The deceased was sixty-four years of age and enjoyed a large circle of acquaintances. She was a relative of the wife of Dr. Barbarin [Researcher's Note: she was a first cousin and they shared the same name], curator for the Corcoran Art Gallery. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3 o’clock at Christ Church, corner of 31st and O streets. The interment was private.
