Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday May 12, 2008 at St. Michael Catholic Church for Mr. Howard Greenwalt, 56 of Gainesville. Father Fabio Sotelo and Dr. David McDonald will serve as celebrants. Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Mason & Ward Funeral Home Saturday May 10, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Greenwalt died Thursday May 8, 2008 at his residence.

A rosary service will be said at 4:00 p.m. Sunday May 11, 2008 in the Mason & Ward Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Challenged Child and Friends, 2360 Murphy Blvd., Gainesville, Georgia 30504.

Mr. Greenwalt was employed as a Mechanical Engineer for Scovill Manufacturing and had also served in the United States Navy for 4 years and then served 16 years in the Army National Guard from which he retired.

Mr. Greenwalt had lived in Hall County for the past 20 years. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

Survivors include his Wife; Pat Greenwalt; Sons, Jason Paul Greenwalt and Ryan Greenwalt; Daughter, Marcy Greenwalt, all of Gainesville; Mother; Louise Greenwalt, Cascade, Maryland; Brother, Charles R. Greenwalt, Jr., Cascade, Maryland; Sister, Susan Oakes, Cascade, Maryland; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law; Marcella and Edward Cooper, Daytona Beach, Florida; Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law; Doug and Marie Gerrity, Poughquag, New York. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
