George Bain Retired Farmer, Dies Wednesday.

George E. Bain, retired Kay county farmer, who lived in this city 10 years, died at the home of his son, W.W. Bain, at Winfield, at 4 p.m., Wednesday. He came to Arkansas City about 12 years ago from Uncas, Okla., and lived at 1417 S. Summit St., until he went to Winfield two years ago to make his home with his son.

Nine children survive. They are John Bain, Uncas, Okla., Ralph Bain, Newkirk, Mrs. Dollie Huffman, Plad, Mo., Mrs. Mae Pickett, Edgerton, Wyo., Mrs. Minnie Pickett, Billings, Okla., Mrs. Edmond Bain, Pond Creek, Okla., W.W. Bain, Winfield, Mrs. Dorcas Lunceford, 415 N. Summit St., Mrs. Ethel Carlyle, Bolivar, Mo., and a large number of grandchildren. His wife and three children preceded him in death.

Services will be at First Baptist church, Newkirk, at 2 p.m. Saturday.
