Lorna N. Cycholl, age 86, of Alton, died at 2:12 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Dec. 17, 1913, in Newton, the daughter of the late Charles and Grace Jasper Ross.
She married Guss Cycholl on May 22, 1948, in Springfield. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sisters: Louise Seibert of Edwardsville and Janet Laugel of Newton; one brother: Scott Ross of Pensacola, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cycholl was employed at the Illinois Department of Public Instruction for eight years; the Treasury Department for 12 years; and secretary at Zion Lutheran Church for four years, retiring in 1977. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto.
Funeral services at Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto with Revs. Willard Meyer and Mark Hofferber officiating. Interment at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield.
