MRS BERDIE MACKLIN TAKEN BY DEATH IN SACRAMENTO MONDAY
Friends and neighbors of the late Mrs. Berdie Macklin paid their last tribute to her memory at funeral services held here on Thursday, May 16, 1957. The 1 pm service was from the Middletown Community church with Rev Ray Lawrence officating.
Interment was in the Middletown cemetery.
Mrs. Macklin has been ill for more than a year and had been in a rest home in Sacramento. She passed away on Monday, May 13, 1957 in that city. She was born on November 20, 1869 in Allen, Texas.
The Macklins came here in 1912 to make their home.
For many years the Mscklin family lived on Harbin Road at the present Brodnick ranch. The three children attended school here. She is survived by her sons, Earl and Robert.
Preceding her in death was her daughter Kathern who was principal of Middletown elementary school and passed away in 1949.
There are eight grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

During her entire live time, Mrs. Macklin was devoted to the interests of her church and took a prominent part in the affairs of the Community church. She was also active in the community.
To her family, the Times Star expresses the sympathy of all who knew her.
