MR. MILTON ADKINS JR. of Dunnellon, FL, passed away April 30, 2011. He was born in Hager, WV Sept. 30, 1922. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 71 years, Rachel Havens Adkins, six sisters; Lillian, Bessie, Marietta, Sherma Lee, Oda and Gladis: also five brothers; Grady, Luther, Robert, Elgust and Elba. He was a retired crane operator at Crucible Steel in Midland, PA. He was a US Navy veteran during WWII. Milton moved to Florida in 1981 from East Liverpool, OH. He was also a union shop steward at Crucible Steel. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Milton is survived by his two daughters; Ardith Untch (John) of Dunnellon, FL. and Betty Orovitz (Rev. Ronald Orovitz) of Hickory, NC. Six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. A gathering of friends will be at the Roberts Funeral Homes Bruce Chapel on Tuesday, May 3rd from 12-1 pm with services to follow at 1 pm.
