Larry Dean Armstrong

Larry Dean Armstrong went to his heavenly rest on February 22, 2010. He was 46 years, born June 7, 1963, in Springfield, Mo. Larry taught all of us a lesson in strength, faith, and loving life during his long illness. Larry will forever remain in the hearts of his devoted wife, Susie; son Taylor Lane; daughter, Megan Shaye, both of the home; parents Bo and Brandi Armstrong and maternal granny "Grunt" Edna Henderson.

Survivors also include an abundance of aunts, uncles, cousins, and brother-in-laws. A special devoted uncle Paul and aunt Debi Davolt, who were loving and caring through Larry's long illness, as well as a host of family and friends.

Larry was a Republic High School graduate where he played football and baseball. Republic were conference champions his senior year in both sports. Larry was employed by Trinity Industries for 20 years where he formed lasting bonds of friendship with many co-workers. Larry was especially happy when hunting with Taylor and uncle Archie. He was the oustanding host to an endless procession of family and friends at the rustic lake cabin. He frequently won at cards then compensated by taking the long line of skiers on their turns across the water. Larry Cherished the day when together he and his mother were baptized, confirmed and received communion into the Catholic Church.

Visitation will be held in Greenlawn East on Wednesday, February 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 2200 West Republic Road, Springfield Mo. on Thursday February 25 at 1 p.m. Final Rest will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

In Lieu of Flowers the Family requests donations be made to the Childrens Trust Fund at Mid-Missouri Bank PO Box 490 Republic Mo, 65738.

To honor Larry: Don't take your organs to Heaven, Heaven knows we need them here.
