He was born in Rennesay, Norway. His Mother & Father were both born in Norway.Daniel married Mary Alverda Chaffin, of near Rowe, Illinois in 1879 at Streator, Illinois. They lived at the homestead all their married life. Daniel told of wearing a pair of boots belonging to John Wilkes Booth, (the man who killed Abe Lincoln) in his younger days. After Daniels death in 1934, Mrs. Iverson and daughter Eulalia lived on the farm several years and then moved to Cornell.

Children: Napoleon b-December 31, 1879; Mabel b-August 22, 1883; Lottie b-March 29, 1886; Verdena b-February 19, 1888; Marguerite 'Maggie' b-October 19, 1890; Eulalia b-May 1893; Harlow b-October 1895; Nina Mildred b-May 16, 1898; Reno Clifford b-September 14, 1900; and Alva H b-April 13, 1903
