Michael R. Shaw, 78, Broad Street, Lake Geneva, died Saturday, July 30, 2005, at the Geneva Lake Manor Nursing Home, Lake Geneva. Michael was born March 10, 1927, in Chicago, the son of Francis R. and Irma Van Porter Shaw. He married Doris Weichhardt Milhaup, Oct. 17, 1992, in Milwaukee and had been a resident of Lake Geneva for the past 15 years. He served in the Maritime Service, Merchant Marines, during World War II, and was a commercial writer. He is survived by his wife, Doris; two stepdaughters, Barbara L. (Michael) Keegan, Stoughton, and Julie (Johann) Sabota, Conifer, Colo.; and four stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
