Dorthy was the 7th child born to Homer O. and Clara F. (Drager) Ritter.
She was married to Stephen "Fox" Chasteen, who preceeded her in death in October of 1956. Dorthy and Fox were blessed with two daughters, Mary and Patricia Chasteen, and son, Stephen Chasteen.
Dorothy was a member of the Park Hill Christian Church, and active in senior citizens groups.
She was the sister of Ruby (Ritter) Corbin, and of Ralph J Ritter, both of Pueblo.

Dorothy J. Chasteen, January 20, 1976, in a local hospital after a short illness, late of 1626 W. 31St. Mother of Miss Mary Chasteen and Mrs. Patricia Alley, both of Pueblo, and Stephan Chasteen, 1903 E. River, where the family may be contacted.

Grandmother of four; great-grandmother of two. Sister of Ralph Ritter, Pueblo. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Member of Park Hill Christian Church and active in senior citizens groups and numerous church groups.

Born January 23, 1906, in Springfield, Mo. Pueblo resident for 64 years.

Her husband, Fox Chasteen, died in October 1956 and her sister, Mrs. Ruby Corbin, in July 1975.

Services 10 a.m. Thursday, Davis Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Pendleton and the Rev. Harold Sutton, pastor of Adriance United Methodist Church, officiating. To Roselawn.
