I visited Simeon and Jerusha's farm and found their gravestones. There are county property records that list their children as Jeremiah, Mahalon, Mary Deems, Sarah Riley, William and Simeon Walter Sims. The headstones are impossible to read clearly. My best guess is that Simeon died in 1821 in the 42nd year of his age/

To the Honorable the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas of Muskingum county in the State of Ohio. Your petitioners Thomas deems & Mary Deems his wife (late Mary Simms) both of the said Muskingum county, respectfully represent unto your Honors, that Simeon Sims late of said county, now deceased at the time of his death was seized in fee of the following described tract of land intestate in the said county of Muskingum that is to say, the North east quarter of Section number three, Township number eighteen, and Range number fifteen contraining about one hundred acres more or less that the said Simeon Sims dec'd intestate and at the time of his death left a widow Jerusha Sims, now Jerusha Shutt since intermarried with John Shutt, which said Jerusha and John in right of the said Jerusha are entitled to dower in the before described tract of land. That the said Simeon Sims at the time of his death left six children his sole heirs at law to wit your petitioner, Mary, Jeremiah, Mahlon, Sarah, William & Simeon Sims, to whom said tract of land decended in equal shares and your petitioner, Mary has since intermarried with the said Thomas Deems, and that the said Sarah Sims, has since intermarried with Shelton Ryley.
