Mrs. Reka L. Cusick died at 5 o'clock Saturday evening in St. Mary's hospital after an illness of over a year's duration.
Mrs. Cusick was born in Germany on Oct. 19, 1859 and came to this country when she was seven years old and settled in Rochester, N.Y. At the age of 18 she moved to Homer where she made her home until moving to Decatur in 1910. For the past 18 years she has lived with her son C.H. Brumaster, 1251 East Cantrell street.
The body was taken to the Moran & Sons, funeral home and prepared for burial. It will remain at Morans until Monday afternoon when it will be taken to the home of her son at 1251 East Cantrell street. Funeral services will be in St. James Catholic church at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
