Last rites for Mrs. T. M. Kirkpatrick, 85, long-time resident of the Files Valley-Maypearl area, who passed away in a Waxahachie hospital Tuesday, March 30, at 5 a.m. were conducted from the Maypearl Church of Christ Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
Mr. John Goble of McAlister, Oklahoma, and Mr. Odell Weatherford, minister of the Maypearl church, officiated.
Mrs. Alice D. Kirkpatrick was a native of Ellis County, Texas. She was born Oct. 9, 1879, the daughter of John and Mary Claridy Wynn.
As Miss Alice Wynn she was wed in 1898 to T.M. Karkpatrick. She had lived in the Files Valley community for the past 66 years where Mr. Kirkpatrick is a prominent farmer and land-owner.
Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a member of the Maypearl Church of Christ. She joined the Church as a young girl.
Mrs. Kirkpatrick became ill Saturday night and entered the Waxahachie hospital Monday. She passed away about 5 a.m. Tuesday, March 30.
Interment was in the Itasca Cemetery under direction of Hollingsworth and Marshall Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Billy Jack Dotson, Winston Wynn, Bill Kirkpatrick, Joe Kirkpatrick, James Wynn and Doug Wynn Jr.
She is survived by her husband, T. M. Kirkpatrick of Maypearl; one son, Gaston Kirkpatrick of Dallas; one grandson, Mancel Kirkpatrick of Dallas, and a number of nieces and nephews.
