Malcolm K. Drake, 78, rural Wamego, died Saturday, November 28, 1992 a this home. He was born January 1, 1914, in the Laclede community, the son of Edgar and Jennie Maude Klingensmith Drake. He was graduated from Wamego High School in 1932. He farmed on the family farm six miles north of Wamego his entire life. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous since December 1964.
He was married to Rheva K. Meskimen on July 8, 1937 in Holton (Jackson County), She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Edgar A. Drake, Topeka (Shawnee County); and George E. Drake, Overbrook (Osage County); two daughters, Dona R. Mitchell and Mary K. M Ikkelsen, both of Topeka (Shawnee County); nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and a grandson. Services were at 11 a .m. Monday, November 30, at R. J. Evans Mortuary chapel in Wamego. A private family graveside services was in the Wamego City Cemetery.
