Donald Burpo

Donald Ralph Burpo of Eugene died Feb. 20 of gastric intestinal bleeding. He was 77. Arrangements by Sunset Hills Cemetery & Funeral Home in Eugene.

He was born May 30, 1932, in St. Louis to William and Opal Cochran Burpo. He married Bonnie Weems in 1972, in Eugene.

He was a high school graduate and served in the Army.

He was a meat cutter at Albertson's before his retirement.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Charmanye Gill of Eugene and Shawnna Haukeli of Spokane; three sons, Scott and Mark Gill, both of Gilbert, Ariz., and Shawn Williams of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Gene Burpo of California; and nine grandchildren. A daughter, Tammy Gill, died in 1984.
