Roberta has been gone for a year and I still can't believe that she is gone. I imagine that she will call this evening. She always called, she was bored on the bridge or having a bad day at work.
Roberta was our parents first child, my oldest sister. She was headstrong and stuborn. She LOVED to argue, she could drive you to the brink o madness.... or not. SWhe could never help giving advice, she had a desire to help others.
She could crack a joke about anything. Really, anything! She could have you in stitches! God, she was so funny.
When I was a child she ran fake seances in the basement. She would pre record herself on a tape recorder as her "Spirit Guide" Theda Bara, yes the old silent movie actress, who got off topic complaining about other dead celebrities.....
She worked in transportation and was quite good at her work.
She liked music and had friends in bands, and hung out with them.
She quit smoking maybe 15 years before she died of lung cancer. We all miss her very much.
