Lydia Margaret Jones was the daughter of James Jones from North Carolina and Lydia Wilson Jones from South Carolina. She married Levi Asberry Miller on November 1, 1855. They were the parents of 11 children, five sons and six daughters. The children were George Wesley (1856-1959), Minerva Eleanor (1858-1951), James Embury (1859-1930), Symantha Annis (1861-1895), Emily Blanche (1863-1954), John Levi (1866-1964), Mary Delphine (1868-1909), Margaret Huldah (1870-1936), William Jeremiah (1872-1888), Samuel Nathan (1875-1941), and Sarah Lydia (1878-1938). Levi was an active member of the M.E. Church South, and Lydia Margaret of the Baptist church.
