Jenny graduated in the first Life Christian Academy class of 1998 that spent all four years at LCA. She, in fact, was a "Lifer"—she was at Life Christian since kindergarten.

Part of her testimony in the 1998 yearbook stated: "Life Christian has been such an important part of my life for so long. Every year I have spent here, from kindergarten to 12th grade, has made a major impact on me. I will always treasure the friendships I have made, lessons I've learned, and experiences I have gained through this school. Life Christian has prepared me for the rest of my life."

Jenny was on the "A" honor roll every semester of her high school years. She was a student in the first Advanced Placement class offered at LCA. She participated in yearbook, and earned varsity letters in volleyball, softball, and basketball. She was editor of the school newspaper. She also served as a peer tutor throughout her years as a student—always willing to help others. Jenny was a highly respected person on our campus and was recognized with many awards based upon academic excellence, moral values, and community involvement. She always stood up for what is right, strived for excellence every day, and placed her relationship with Jesus as her highest priority. She graduated with High Honors.

Jenny's Christian faith was so important to our school. She did as Jesus would do—serve others. Jenny was so committed to helping others, including volunteering at Super Club, Easter Seals Therapeutic Program, Tacoma Rescue Mission, Peacemakers, and at local nursing homes. She did all of this while attending LCA and could have been the poster child for an exemplary student in a Christian college-preparatory school.

Upon graduation from LCA, Jenny continued to make us proud as she successfully attended Seattle Pacific University to pursue a degree in special education. This was so much like Jenny, because she was always so sensitive to serving the disadvantaged person and others that needed help.

Her call to the classrooms in Tacoma Public Schools was so fitting—her students have lost a great teacher, a loving woman, and a person who cared deeply about every one of them.

At Life Christian we have lost one of our own—but heaven is richer! She will be there to greet us with the same loving smile and caring spirit that we all remember!
