Olga Andrea Olsen was born in Haugesund, Norway. She was only 3 years old when her family immigrated to the United States. After first settling in Minnesota or Michigan they went to the Seattle, Washington area. Olga was accomplished in several different types of art. Her watercolor painting, painted china, and needlepoint footstools are still enjoyed today.
Olga met her husband, Charles F. Cook, and got married in Dunsmuir, California on Sept. 2, 1906.
They had 3 children: Dorothy B. Cook who married Larry Houts, Ralph D. Cook who married Norma R. Barnum, and Kenneth F. Cook.
Olga got to see and know both of her granddaughters, passing away 16 months after the second one was born.
She was living with her son Ralph in Sacramento, CA when she passed away.
