Joe Roy West, 91, of Seville, died at his residence Saturday following a long illness.
A native of Coloma, Mich., he made Volusia County his home most of his life. A resident of Seville since 1965, he was a retired logger and commercial fisherman. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Seville.
Survivors include two sons, Eugene and Donald, both of Chatsworth, Ga.; daughter, May Bell Centerfitt of Andersonville, Ga.; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was at 11 a.m. today in the First Baptist Church of Seville with the pastor, the Rev. Shane Gaster, officiating. Burial followed in Harris Cemetery in Seville.
