Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 1 at 1 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, with burial at Hills of Rest Memorial Park, Sioux Falls.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 30 at Heritage Funeral Home, Sioux Falls. The family will be present from 5-8 p.m.
Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Building Fund, Zion Lutheran Radio Broadcast or Avera McKennan Hospice Program.
Stanley Harley Obermoller was born July 17, 1926 in Brewster to Ludwig and Wihelminia (Steffen) Obermoller. After graduation from high school, he entered the Army. While in the Army he received the Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon. He was discharged from the service in 1946. On June 19, 1949 he married Helen Lindemann.
He was self-employed in the construction business in Hardwick. In 1989 he moved to Sioux Falls.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2757, Luverne and a member of the Hardwick Legion - Arthur Moeller Post 478.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, Sioux Falls; children: Virginia (Lewis) Blade, Andover; Barbara (Burdell) Oye, Prior Lake; Wendell (Lisa) Obermoller, Princeton; Colleen (Doug) Deutsch, Luverne; Jolene Halsne, Sioux Falls; Lori Juliette, Coon Rapids; Kristie (Dennis) Weinkauf, Jasper; son-in-law Ronald Allison, Becker; one sister, Vera Roberts, Sioux Falls; one brother, Alvin (Lucille) Obermoller, Brewster; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Allison and a daughter in infancy.
