Born Hessen Darmstadt, Germany Dec 16 1836 son of Jacob Huff and came to America with his parents in 1842. Lived in Long Island, NY and came to Jeffersonville settled on the farm where Philip spent 66 years of his life.
September 1860 he married Margaret Hust who died in 1899.
Leaves one son and 2 daughters - John P on the homestead, Mrs Caroline Miller and Miss Annie Huff of New York.
Also leaves a brother and 2 sisters - John Huff of Youngsville, Mrs Magdalena Baumgardt of Jeffersonville and Miss Margaret Huff of New York."
