Specialist Four Ernest Maehue Hodges was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army Selective Service and a Draftee, SP4 Hodges served our country until June 24th, 1968 in Quang Tri, South Vietnam. He was 20 years old and was not married. It was reported that Ernest died from an a hostile booby trap explosion. His body was recovered. Ernest was born on September 11th, 1947 in Oriental, North Carolina. SP4 Hodges is on panel 55W, line 028 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for one year.

He is the Son of Mr Oscar C Hodges, 801 Cedar Street, New Bern, North Carolina.
