Jackson Forrest Ramsey, 16, died suddenly on February 27, 2010, at his home in Natural Bridge Station, Va. He is survived by his parents, James W. Ramsey, and Shirley Walters Ramsey; sister, Hannah May Ramsey; and brother, Mason James Ramsey; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jeanette May Walters, Harold A. Walters, Robert Hudson Ramsey, and Exie Marie Cooper Willis. Jackson's Birthday was on Valentine's Day and he shared his love and tenderness with everyone he met. He touched the lives of his classmates, neighbors, and family members. Jackson was a member of First Baptist Church and Young Life in both Richmond and Lexington. He played basketball for both Hermitage High School and Rockbridge County High School. Jackson swam for eleven years with the Glen Allen Gliders, and loved spending time with his friends. His tall handsome stature, sense of whit, intelligence, and sensitivity to others will be missed by all whose lives he touched. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Richmond Va., on Monument Avenue at 3 p.m. Monday March 1, 2010. A graveside service will be held on Saturday March 6, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Will Tom Ramsey Family Cemetery in Franklin County, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Young Life Richmond Chapter, P.O. Box 70807, Richmond VA 23255. and to the Rockbridge Chapter, 170 Spring House Road, Goshen, Va. 24439 Arrangements by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Va.
