"Samuel A. Camp, Jr. was a native of the State of Connecticut and a son of Samuel A. Camp, Sr. a graduate of Yale University, a clergymen of the Presbyterian church of that date. He was married to Lemira Wilson and had eight children--six sons and two daughters." Documented by Obed Edson in "Biographical and Portrait Encyclopedia of Chautauqua County, New York", July 1893.

Conflict Discussion:
Gary Boughton and Erik Andersen each walked entire cemetery but could not find the headstone. Also Hale does not mention a headstone existing in 1934. Samuel is most likely buried here because he lived in Ridgebury next to his father, and his father and mother are buried here. If there was a headstone, it was missing by 1934 when Hale made the inscription list. It is not logical that he was buried elsewhere. His wife died in NY 36 years later.
