MANIER, CHARLES JR., 74, of Hudson, died Thursday (May 9, 2002) at Bear Creek Nursing Center in Hudson. Born in Harco, Ill., he came here 20 years ago from Pontiac, Mich. He was a retired automotive mechanic for General Motors Corp. and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Parkwood Acres Civic Association and First United Methodist Church of Hudson. Survivors include his wife, June; a son, Charles R., Hudson; three daughters, Deborah Sperry, Mount Carmel, Ill., Patricia Villarreal, North Branch, Mich., and Evelyn Suhy, Hudson; two stepsons, Rod Brown, Rochester, Mich., and Kenneth Brown, Waterford, Mich.; two stepdaughters, Victoria Davenport, Auburn Hills, Mich., and Karen White, Commerce, Mich.; a brother, Robert Manier, Melville, Del.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Bell Funeral Home, Hudson.
