Lorine May Roberson, 84, of Dixon, was born on July 5, 1916, at Nevada, a daughter of Osbern E. and Sella M. Filipine Campbell, and died at 5:10 a.m. Friday morning, May 4, 2001, in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla. Mrs. Roberson has been in failing health for some time.
Mrs. Roberson was preceded in death by three former husbands, Evan T. Weyand, Alvin Jennings and Lee Roberson, as well as one son, Charles A. Weyand and one infant daughter, Norma Lee Martin. Mrs. Roberson was a housewife and homemaker all of her working life. Survivors include: five sons, Daniel Smith, Clinton Weyand and wife Clara of Crocker, James Allen "Jim" Weyand and wife Deborah of Fort Worth, TX, Raymond Jennings and wife Janet of Crocker and James Jennings of Dixon; two daughters, Mary Snodgrass and husband James of Rolla and Pat Roberson and husband Carl of Meta; daughter-in-law Anna Weyand of Rolla; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday morning, May 7, 2001 in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes with Bro. Paul Smith, pastor, Kenner Church of God, Dixon, officiating. "Rock of Ages" and "How Great Thou Art" were sung for the funeral service. Interment was in the Kenner Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Pallbearers were Carl Roberson, Robert Wagoner, Will Roberson, Randall Wiles, Kenneth York and Nick Eneland.
