In Memory

On May 26th, 1919, the Angel visited the home of Mr. and Mrs J. L. Covington, of Parchman, Miss., and took away dear little Stella Jane. She would have been two years old the latter part of July, a bright, sweet little girl. She leaves father, mother, four sisters, two brothers and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss, But we feel that many angels gladly welcome the little one in the heavenly home above for her sweet presence will be one of glory.

There is a vacant place in the family, a voice stilled, and a vacancy that can never be filled. She has gone to that home up yonder where her dear little sister Leo is resting in a happier home than this sinstained world could ever afford.

She was the family's pet; 'tis hard to give her up, but the Lord in his infinite wisdom deemed it best to take her away from us. Little Stella Jane was only sick a few hours before she was callsd away, but with all that loving hards could do her life couldn't be saved.

Weep not father, mother, sisters and brothers for yoar loss is the precious little ones gain. She is in that home where peace and love abounds, a home that God has prepared, where sin is unknown:

One more mound to swell the number,
One more empty cradle to remind us
Of that smiling little face up yonder
crowned with golden hair and eyes so blue.
Oh! pure sweet life, thy fragrance rare
Still lingers in the silent air;
We will miss the patter of thy little feet
And the prattle of thy tongue so sweet
This lovely bud so young
Called hence by earthly doom,
Just come to show how sweet a flower
In the paradise of heaven would bloom
Sleep on little Stella Jane
In thy green and narrow bed
All strewn with beautiful flowers
Mingled with the tears we shed.
