Patrick was the youngest child of Peter Malvern Sayles and Katherine Sayles. He loved music all his life. While living in California, he played piano and bass in a band with his brothers, Thomas and Paul, one of whom played the guitar and the other played the vibraphone.
He married Carol Adams, the love his life, in 1963 in Rosemead, California, at St. Anthony's Church.
They both loved music, concerts, movies, going for drives, and picnics.
He fought cancer bravely but it took him away much too soon. He is missed fervently.
