Whittlesey Hubbard Clark was the son of Elbert Cornelius Clark and Ada Theresa Hitchcock Clark. He was born Nov. 16, 1872, in Ogden, Iowa. He married Maud Gray (born Aug. 19, 1874) on June 19, 1901. The 1910 U.S. census shows them living in Monroe, Snohomish, Wash., and reportedly he was president of a bank in Monroe. Maud died Jan. 18, 1947. He then married Mrs. Atsey Leavell (born in Oct. 1888) on June 19, 1948. He died Nov. 5, 1953. According to my information (mainly from Ron Boyles and Al Braley), they had no children.

Military: Fifty-Second Regiment Iowa Volunteer Infantry. Appointed Sergeant Major April 26, 1898. Mustered May 25, 1898. Promoted Second Lieutenant of Company E, July 7, 1898. Department Commander of the Department of Washington and Alaska, United Spanish War Veterans.
