Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Church for Jack Hagel, 47 year-old Aberdeen clothing salesman who died at St Mary's hospital at Rochester, Minnesota, last Thursday. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mr. Hagel was born June 17, 1903 at Strasburg, North Dakota. He married Ruth Genevieve Wertz in Aberdeen, September 10, 1934. He had been a resident of the Hub City the past 30 years and was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his widow, two brothers, John Hagel of Yakima, Washington, and Anthony J. Hagel, Ellendale, North Dakota; and three sisters, Mrs. Wendlein Klein of Aberdeen, Mrs. Jack Jungular, Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada, and Mrs. Matt Keller, Mobridge. His parents and a brother preceded him in death.
Mr. Hagel had been employed in the Standard Clothing Co for 27 years. The Knights of Columbus will attend the funeral in a group.
